Scotcash is a not-for-profit, social enterprise and a Community Interest Company (CIC). Founded in January 2007 with help from Glasgow City Council and GHA, our main aim is to provide financial products and services to those who have difficulty accessing mainstream sources, such as banks and building societies.
The service we are most well-known for is our Affordable Credit, but we also offer help with basic bank accounts, Credit Union savings accounts and money advice for customers - so as you can see, we are more than just another loans company. Our services are available to anyone living in the United Kingdom. Our main office is located in Glasgow city centre.

What makes Scotcash different is that we provide an ethical lending alternative to home credit, payday lenders and rent-to-own retailers - as all of these can end up very costly. Any profits we make go straight back into the business to enable us to continue providing valuable help and services, so we do not distribute any profits to shareholders or owners. We are not in direct competition with banks and building societies, but instead aim to fill a gap in the market. All situations are taken on an individual basis and we aim to always provide our customers with the best advice and service. We are also a member of Responsible Finance, the national membership body for responsible finance providers.
