Basic Bank Accounts
If you don’t have a bank account, Scotcash may be able to open a basic bank account for you. There are many benefits to having a bank account in your own name:
- Wages or benefits can be paid direct to your account
- You can choose to have the account in your own name or with a partner
- You will be given a Visa debit card which will allow you to withdraw at most cash UK cash machines and make payments at 29 million retailers around the world, wherever you see the Visa logo.
- You can save money by having some of your bills paid by direct debit
If you have never used a bank before, this will be the start of you building up a credit reference for yourself. If you run your account well for a period of time, the bank could possibly upgrade you to an account which offers more discounts on other products and services.
